The "Best of Wayne County" contest was a huge success. This is a contest to celebrate tourism and all the tourism professionals in Wayne County. Tourism brings in over 160 million dollars to the Wayne County economy and provides 3000 jobs. Hundreds of people voted for their favorite "best of" locations.

Summer Events

Spring

Summer is the perfect time to visit Wayne County. The Ohio Light Opera's 30th season opens June 20 and continues through August 9. Wooster's Bicentennial events continue with fireworks on July 4 and a parade on July 5 at noon. Festa Italiana is August 1-2 and the Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale is also August 1-2.
